Guess what magic makes it way too easy to do? Break into abandoned muggle buildings! Neil's been taking advantage of this for years, but this time he's bringing a ton of friends along with him. The looming facade of Pennhurst Asylum looms overhead as the clouds threaten to spill rain on the old Pennsylvania building.

"With a history riddled with strong accusations of neglect, abuse and torture combined with tales of patients being chained to the walls, children kept for years in cribs and even murders, it’s not surprising that Pennhurst Asylum is one of the scariest places in existence. The building was opened in 1908 as a state school for the physically and mentally disabled and covered 120 acres, housing more than 10,000 patients at any given time.

The facility was often accused of dehumanization and was reported to provide no help for the mentally challenged before finally being shut down in 1986, following several allegations of abuse by residents. When Pennhurst was closed, the buildings were abandoned as they were with patients’ belongings strewn about and medical equipment left to rot."

The crumbling facade looms over the group, and Neil cheerfully informs them that they're trespassing. He hands them all a cheap plastic light-up ring that he's charmed to alarm at his command. "Just in case security stops by. Apparate the hell out of here if you get the signal."

HOW THIS WORKS

• Neil has invited Anuhea Alapai, Faye Valentine, Leonardo Fiori, Kazim Raza, Nathan Bird, Takeru Maeda, Ivy Templeton and Yancey Montgomery. In addition, he said they can invite along any of their friends. While it's going to be a small group, Neil's not kicking anyone out. Big Fish are all implicitly invited by Yancey.


• If you want your character to be here, ask and I'll see if I can justify it.


• The plan is to arrive at midnight and wander the halls of the supposedly haunted asylum with various ghost hunting gadgets provided by the overly brave Neil.


• Split up into small groups! Get spooked by stupid things! Complain about how gross and dirty the place is!


• At the end of the night (7:00 AM), the group reconvenes in a motel room to go over the EVP they captured. What the hell is this saying??? Offer your interpretations.


• I'm posting this early since I anticipate I'll be busy tomorrow morning! EVPs will be posted soon! The best interpretation nets their player a ghost encounter on the next plot calendar.

» EXPLORATION: Wandering the haunted halls of this abandoned building is legitimately creepy, whether you believe in muggle ghosts and demons or not.

» MORNING: Exhausted and spooked, everyone drags themselves back to the motel for breakfast and coffee.
